Safety Impact Series 18 Wall Pad - Z Clip Installation

The Connor Sports® Safety Impact Series 18 Wall Pad is an indoor fixed wall padding system engineered for durability, safety, and a clean finished appearance. Designed for direct wall attachment, each panel is constructed with a 7/16" exterior wood backing and 2" high-compression impact-rated polyurethane foam laminated to the face using a two-part adhesion process. The panel is wrapped on the front and sides and securely stapled on the back with 18.5 oz. coated smooth matte Class A PVC vinyl for long-term performance in demanding interiors.

Safety Impact Series 18 meets ASTM 2440 impact standards, which quantify performance in terms of g-max and Head Injury Criterion (HIC) scores. The vinyl facing is treated with BACshield for anti-mildew, anti-fungus, antimicrobial, antibacterial, and UV-resistant performance, and it passes NFPA-701, CSFM-19, and ASTM E-84 Class A fire-retardant requirements. The product has also been tested to CDPH 01350 v1.2 VOC emissions evaluation requirements and qualifies toward LEED v4.1 EQ low-emitting materials credits.

Standard manufacturing includes typical 24" panel widths with project-specific heights, and all corners and columns are prefabricated to meet field conditions.

Installation Option

Z-Clip Installation
Panels are positioned above the wall-mounted Z-Clip and lowered until the clips secure the panel. No nailing margin is provided on these panels. Panel-side Z-Clip mounting hardware is supplied; wall-side Z-Clip and hardboard strip mounting hardware are not supplied.
